Wombaroo Cat Milk Replacer is a nutritionally balanced milk substitute formulated specifically for kittens of all breeds. It is ideal for orphaned kittens, supplementary feeding when the mother’s milk supply is limited, or situations where additional nutritional support is required during early growth.

The formula is designed to closely match the composition of queen’s milk, with high levels of protein, including whey protein, to help support healthy growth. It also contains elevated taurine, which is essential for normal vision, heart function and brain development, along with omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, vitamins and minerals.

How to Prepare

To make 30mL of prepared milk:

Mix 1 level scoop, approximately 6.5g, with 25mL of warm pre-boiled water.

To make 1 litre:

Mix 215g of powder with 850mL of warm pre-boiled water.

For best results, mix the powder with around half of the water first to form a smooth paste, then gradually add the remaining water and mix thoroughly.

Feeding Guide

Warm prepared milk to approximately 35°C before feeding.

Feed every 2 hours for the first 3 days of life, gradually reducing to every 4 hours by one week of age and every 6 hours by two weeks.

Regularly weigh kittens to monitor growth. Healthy kittens should typically gain around 10–15g per day.

Avoid overfeeding, as excessive milk intake can cause diarrhoea.

Weaning

Kittens will usually begin showing interest in solid food from around 4 weeks of age.

A small amount of suitable kitten food can be softened with prepared milk to encourage the transition. Gradually increase solid food and reduce milk until fully weaned at around 8 weeks.

Storage

Prepared milk can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours or frozen for up to 2 weeks.

Once thawed, discard any unused milk and wash feeding equipment thoroughly.
