How to Measure
Measure around the widest part of your dog’s muzzle, usually just below the eyes and around the snout. The muzzle should be secure enough that your dog cannot slip it off, but roomy enough for them to open their mouth to pant comfortably.
The breed guide is only a starting point. Dogs can vary a lot in head and muzzle shape, so measuring is the best way to choose the right size.
Pet Patch Tip
Introduce the muzzle slowly and positively. Let your dog sniff it, offer treats near it, then gradually build up to placing treats inside the muzzle before fastening it for short periods. A muzzle should never be used as punishment — it should be a calm, positive safety tool.
Important Safety Note
Always supervise your dog while using a muzzle. A muzzle should not be used to stop barking, chewing or general behaviour problems without proper training support. Do not leave your dog unattended while wearing a muzzle.
