Paradise Pellets

Eclectus Parrots are frugivorous tropical parrots whose natural diet consists mainly of fresh native fruits and kernels. Paradise Pellets have been formulated by avian veterinarians to replicate this natural diet with fresh Australian grown fruit, low iron levels, and high vitamin A content.

About Paradise Pellets

This species-specific formula suits the low iron dietary requirements of Eclectus Parrots and other frugivorous birds. Made from fresh fruit and select low iron grains from Australian farms, these pellets are extruded to unlock natural flavours, improve digestibility, and ensure food safety.

Feeding Guide

Daily Pellet Requirements:

• Average Eclectus Parrot (450g bodyweight): Minimum 35g of Paradise Pellets per day (in addition to equal parts fruit and vegetables)
• Other frugivores (fruit pigeons, birds of paradise, minors, etc): Approx. 8g of Paradise Pellets per 100g of bodyweight, in addition to fresh fruit

Recommended Daily Diet Composition:

• 50% Paradise Pellets
• 45% Fresh fruit and vegetables
• 5% Selected treats (seeds and nuts)
• Unlimited water

Paradise Pellets provide complete nutritional balance for growth, breeding, brain function, and optimum feather development when fed as 50% of your frugivore's total diet. Vetafarm Delistix can be added to the 5% treat portion as a healthy balanced treat and behavioural enrichment tool. Avoid foods high in iron when feeding frugivores with low iron tolerance.
