Feeding Guide

Good quality hay and/or grass should make up the majority of your chinchilla's diet and should be available at all times. Feed a small portion of Excel nuggets, occasional suitable Excel Nature Snacks, and a small amount of leafy greens each day. Hay and fresh grass are essential for dental health, helping wear down your chinchilla's continually growing teeth.

If transitioning from muesli-style food, gradually replace it with nuggets over 14–28 days. Monitor your chinchilla's weight regularly and ensure fresh clean water is always available.
